To many people, a rhododendron is a beautiful plant which has been ‘encouraged’ to grow. Like many introduced species it is causing havoc to our ecosystem.
This plant is responsible for the destruction of many native habitats. It has spread from people’s gardens to many once wild habitats.
Apparently, it is a competitive plant that causes light deprivation to everything beneath it.
Now I am not an expert in this area, but I do pick up what is happening on the ground. It appears there is a huge market out there for rhododendron clearance. So yes, the world is uncertain at the moment but there are still opportunities!
