One of our clients has allowed us to share this picture to show how people can break into a purpose made security container. The container was cut using a heavy-duty grinder and items passed out through the hole. We suspect these thieves didn’t hang around, but what more can you do to protect your tools? One of the best deterrents is an alarm with remote signalling – so that it calls your phone when it’s set off. Opinions on the value of security cameras are mixed – most thieves cover their face, so all you get is a replay of an upsetting experience. Saying that, I do think a video camera in the front could be useful to record the number plates.
