Good adverting is normally priceless but it turns out, it can also be costly. This subject comes up regularly, but here is another reminder. A contractor put his company logo and contact details all over his van and it looked great. Whilst it said ‘call me if you need some work doing – I am a GREAT tree surgeon!’ It also said something very dangerous: ‘I am full of chainsaws – steal me.’
Which is unfortunately what happened. This issue is even more problematic as insurance companies often don’t cover tools left in vehicles, particularly overnight.
So, whilst advertising on vehicles can be great, the benefits must be balanced with the security implications. This is something for everybody to consider, but there isn’t really a right answer…is there?
